QUESTION AND ANSWERS:
Anna,
I am sorry for the delay in answering your question.
Johnie and I were on a business trip last week to New York City, and just returned yesterday.

In the steps you describe: What do you mean by "casting"???
The natural opal is incased in a glass like clear-solid material, similiar to the material used in making eye glasses. The opal is placed in a mold with the rosin and allowed to cure for three days. Then the hardened casting is removed from the mold and hand finished and polished.
During our trip to New York City, we were able to place three of our "high end" opals on consignment at Belenky Brothers Fine Jewelry.
91 Grand Street ( in the SOHO District of New York City ).
If you happen to be in New York, you could see #2, #9, and #16 on display at Belenky Brothers ( one of the top 5 jewelers in New York City ).
Thank you for your question, and I hope this answered it.
